There are certain destination weddings that couples are so excited to venture to: Hawaii, Mexico, and Napa Valley. But did you know that quickly moving up in that list is the Treasure State? Montana is known for jaw-dropping 360-degree views of untouched nature. More and more people are packing up their cars and moving to Montana to buy a slice of heaven. Similarly, brides and grooms from all over the country are packing up their wedding dress and tux and heading to the Big Sky for their dream destination wedding.
That’s what my couple, Lauren and John, did for their July wedding. From their home in Portland, these two planned their midsummer night’s dream Montana wedding. These two not only weathered the storm of planning a destination wedding (it is not always easy!) but they did so through the trenches of the pandemic. This was a long overdue celebration that had been postponed like so many other 2020 weddings. Gratefully, 2021 delivered a beautiful July evening for these two to finally say I Do.
On that long-awaited day, I arrived at the White Raven wedding venue in Alberton. My fun-loving bride, Lauren, was found relaxing in her bridal robe and popping a bottle of champagne before slipping into her gown. Her nurturing groom adjusted his floral tie before heading out to see his bride. After an intimate first look, Lauren and John were ready for Lauren’s brother to marry them under the arch. The entire ceremony backdrop was just downright beautiful. But it got even better. After the ceremony, we were able to shoot our portraits in some of the most beautiful locations under the Big Sky of Montana. Gorgeous!
Congratulations, Lauren and John!
