This wedding gave me all the fuzzy feels. I felt super connected to my couple, Sydnee and Taylor. Their wedding vision, their welcoming personalities and their unique twist on first looks drew me in on so many levels. And the venue! *Insert heart eye emoji* It was my first time shooting at the Lazy Bear Ranch in Weiser, Idaho. And all I can say is what a beautiful hidden gem. I mean, guys, there were chandeliers hanging from the trees!
Before I get carried away, let’s back up…all the way back to high school. Sydnee, my sweetest bride, had met her easy-going fiancé, Taylor, years and years before they dated. They both met as students in secondary school. And as fate would have it, they reconnected years later. Fast-forward and here we are at the Lazy Bear Ranch in mid-July for their wedding.
One of my favorite moments from this day was when Sydnee had multiple first looks with all the special men in her life – including her two nephews! It was so precious to see their little faces light up when they saw their aunt dressed in her wedding gown. I was even getting teary-eyed photographing them. The rest of the day was a blur of beauty, celebration and fun at the ranch. I was able to snag buttery images of Sydnee and Taylor during golden hour before they returned to the reception. The Idaho setting sun was golden and soft. Once the light hid behind the hills, Sydnee and Taylor returned to their reception ready to party. Sydnee brought her love for live music to the reception with the rock of Tylor and The Train Robbers. The happy couple danced the hot summer night away with their family and friends.
